Think about it this way, how easy is it for a gov't to produce an incremental dollar (or whatever currency). Think about it for a corporation to produce an incremental "Lexus" or widget.

I'm not saying it isn't seductive logic. Only that I sincerely doubt that it is so simple. In economics nothing is that simple because all the loops close and intersect with other loops. The only way to really know that there really is a strong connection (i.e. stronger than negating influences) is empirically.
