Increases in money supply are not the only cause for inflation.

I'll agree to that, but what I was really saying was that I'd bet that increases in money supply do not always lead to increased inflation, no matter how measured. And, more interestingly, I'd bet that tightly controlling money supply probably has some seriously negative effects.
