We'll see. I am staying long with (all) my Nokia shares, for now. >> Bless you! <g> Please remember that I only folded half my NOK tent (and my QCOM. TXN, CSCO tents) and I sure would like to see the other half of each, and techs in general (or at least the quality portion of same), run like the proverbial 'raped ape' or like the good old Roadrunner kicking in the afterburners and racing past Wylie Coyote who I liken in my mind to Zander's "wickedly cool" Moto. <ggg> << Congratulations on your coming "official" retirement. >> Thank you very much, and thanks to those that have PMed me with similar sentiment. Now that most of the voluminous paperwork has been processed I must say I'm looking forward to it. Five years ago I thought I'd want to wait till I was at least 65 to retire, just based on the thrill of the chase, but right now evacuating corporate life shortly after my 62nd birthday is very appealing. I entered the IT industry in sales 39 years ago when unit record equipment was just starting to give way to 2nd gen mainframes as an apple cheek when nobody was hiring apple cheeks anymore, so all but a few of my long time business associates and mentors are either retired or resting peacefully. It certainly has been a fun trip that passed all too quickly and it provided a grand practical education, mucho insight into tech investing, as well as lots of travel domestically and internationally. From almost day one (or at least after I overcame my fear of cold calling) my chosen profession has really been my avocation rather than my vocation and I've never regretted not pursuing the legal profession where I originally intended to make a mark. We'll soon see how I adjust to prioritizing pool maintenance, landscaping, honey-dos (sheila-dos,) golf, and other endeavors over business email, phone calls, contract negotiation, and proposal generation. In the interim ... Bring Back the Bubble! Go NOK! Best, - Eric -
