I'm not sure what to make of that divergence, if anything. The disparity between chip sales and semi-equip Bookings has been increasing for a long time, and now for a few months they have decided to come back together a little.

The chip sales "falloff" pretty much matches the previous years, and should turn around this month or next. Overall chip sales are said to on track for increased sales this year compared to last year. If so, that should be good news for the semi-equip area.

It seems to be trying to bounce off the 200 DMA... if it can push above the blue 50 dma (first chart) then I think we are on our way.

The weekly chart to me looks like it is simply testing the "round number" of 500 from above... before launching.
