Go to the Grand Canyon, then go north to Natural Bridges National Monument, then either west to Zion or east to Canyonlands National Parks. You'll have seen two of the top five National Parks then.

There is some great stuff between the Grand Canyon and SLC. Bryce, Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Cedar Breaks. Mesa verde is cool like John said.

I'm in Denver right now and trying to decide where I'd like to go next (after brief stints in Western Kansas, Nebraska, and Cheyenne)... it's a toss-up right now between the Grand Canyon and Salt Lake City.

Las Vegas!
