I'll be surprised if INTC doesn't stress forward results.

I'm sure they will.
That they are really forward PROJECTIONS and ESTIMATES will be swept under the rug.

I'll be surprised if analysts don't ask AMD about 65Nm production.
Unfortuately, I think AMD will want to hold its cards close to it vest until the May 9 unvailing. That is the one down downside I expect from an other wise steller report and CC.

re: Lack of acceptance of Core Duo, esp at Dell. Available in Jan, ship in April? What gives?

Is that for real? Doesn't that imply bad yields for Yonah? Why not put DC Yonah in every notebook and lower the price to Turion levels or lower? (apologies to tgp, but I figure Intel is likely to do the opposite of anything I tell them to do. :-))

BTW, smooth, that was actually a reasonable post.

S20, Re:

Thanks. Some *VERY VALID* stuff I'm going to have to chew on for a while.

Response before market close tomorrow, I hope.

I have to laugh at, however, There is no "surprise" wbmw expects. WBMW was a frequent winner of the earnings contest. I respect her fore judgement/knowledge of both companies probable earnings near term. I continue to think she's being paid mostly to post: by Intel or a company Intel hired. Her technology opinions are pretty poor, IMO. They really strike me as marketing *TILT* on the underlying tech.

RE: <TPG>

If it wasn't a typo I'd appreciate it if you'd use TGP as I use it as a search criteria. I'd also appreciate your publishing your reference. On the other hand if it was a typo, no additional comment necessary.

For those not familiar tgptndr is a reference to The Great Pretender, a Platters song from the '50s I was listening to on an oldies station back when AOL first asked me to pick a user name.

Paul Engle was the first to figure it out and publish.
