INTC does look like an ED since mid-February, which would be well positioned as a 5th wave since the top in early December. This has potential bullish implications. However, SOX looks poised to break down further (which it may or may not do). Therefore, I would be careful with INTC at this time. Maybe it's a play - but only after a breakout.

Candles... yes... Dark Cloud Cover on SPX and NDX... COMPX almost completed a Bearish Engulfing Pattern. In the wiggles - so far there is nothing which could not be fixed by a quick reversal tomorrow. But a move down below Friday's low could begin to change things.

Look at $GSM, Freep...and you may get a better feeling about the semis and the SOX. Quite close to new high...well above its long-rising 200d, challenging the 50d.

But for that matter, SOX also looks pretty good to me. Making a nice turn up here, also. Fortunately, this is a weirdo kind of index, and it wouldn't matter all that much if INTC continues to slither across the bottom of the chart (if that's a wedge, it'd probably make an excellent textbook illustration of a flat crawling wedge...gg),.
The two real SOX-knitters, MRVL and BRCM are doing nicely, thank you, and if they move on back to their highs, that alone would be enough to take SOX close to its old high.. (That is, if you're now willing to abandon your alarming views of huge island reversals threatening a precarious BRCM..LOL). And even AMD succumbing a bit here to its bearish flag...as I posted late this afternoon..wouldn't matter very much either.
