All this oil replacement is valid for 2025, not for now. Please don't try to jay walk across freeways in the anticipation that people are not driving as much. "Coal is being used instead of oil". Well the first the very first really clean plant to burn coal profitably and produce electricity goes on stream in 2010. What fraction of the world's electricity will that one plant generate?
Wind is a trivially small replacement of oil. Etc. etc. This all takes time. Your vista is right, but the time is wrong.
Meanwhile as the oil is slowly replaced the supply of available oil is also slowly decreasing.
