Maybe he is now a student of Japan.Let the bubble pop because,in his mind,it can be managed.

A couple of years ago, some Fed economists wrote a paper critiquing the BOJ's post-bubble policy response. Their conclusion was that Japan's deflationary morass was the result of the BOJ's failure to act early enough and aggressively enough after the bubble burst. So, apparently, the lesson that the Fed has gleaned from Japan's experience is that the key to preventing a deflationary bust is to act fast and aggressively.
