Today, even a quick glance at newspaper headlines reveals the ongoing dismantling of freedom.

hear hear!

I like the bit about the "rabid gun control advocates". "Anti" is very popular in the UK. Ban everything, the nanny state knows better. Really, I used to like shooting guns and stuff.

European Factoid: None of the local libraries in the UK even have a listing for Ayn Rand. Amazing isn't it? The discussion first came up with a SI poster on the FADG thread. They mentioned "The Fountainhead", so not having read any of the work I went to the local library to read it. No copies. No author "Ayn Rand". For some reason she doesn't go down well with the intellectual education mob around here. Maybe all the copies got burned for fuel during the miners strike?

OK, What else has David C. Adams have to say...

Major powers embark on imperialistic adventures to establish a world police state, under cover of NATO's "mission" or the "peacekeeping" of the United Nations

NATO? N-A-T-O??? Are these the fascist A/H's going around tapping all those USA citizens communications? Using evidence in court gained from eavesdropping confidential information between client and attorney? Did they invade Iraq? Have they cramped down on just about every civil liberty in the USA?

As said, I liked the bit about the rabid anti gun crowd, but the rest of the stuff is beyond a joke. Ellsworth Toohey would just love it. Ellsworth Toohey seems to have the entire works of Ayn Rand in his possession!

Please substitute the word "NATO" with some other well known screwballs (neocons), and that piece by David C. Adams makes a good read.
