Me, I was just posting the article as an example of the horrible things happening in Iraq right now. The semantics of the article didn't make me think it was a "good thing" or that the folks lopping off heads in classrooms were "good people", or even "freedom fighters".

As I recall, you were the one who started the conversation about words.

Almost correct. I started the conversation by criticizing the WAPO's use of insurgent as a descriptor of those animals who did the deed. I did not start any conversation with fellow posters about the word insurgent.

It went downhill from there as posters reacted to my use of freedom fighter versus the media's use of insurgent.
