Birthrate percentages. Our percentages are down. We are not replacing ourselves. The increases are largely new immigrants, both legal and illegal.

Look up birthrates for the countries in the world.

>>>In 1960 there were roughly 180mm americans. Now there are over 300mm. I dont get what you mean.<<<

More and more I'm coming to the conclusion that the only way to save the planet is to have smaller nations. Overall, and history has proven this, I think large nations do more harm than good for societies of people.

I think the most popular slogan of the past few decades has been: "Think globally; act locally!"

Think what it might be like if every nation with 75 million people or more were to respectively divide into two or three nations. I don't think the art of technology would be lost, I think it'd become more efficient; and trade and labor might become more reasonable. And, like with the European Union, unions of nations of interest and common goals would replace the larger countries.

Many always complain the UN is ineffective. Perhaps if the UN were dealing with nations that weren't larger than the UN itself, it could become more effective in solving the pressing issues of the world, certainly in a less greedy manner than how disputes get solved today.

Oh, well--so much for my Thought of the Day--lol!
