I wouldn't go that far. If they were called "the moral equivalent of our founding fathers" that would, imo, disparage our founding fathers, even if we both agreed what the Iraq insurgents.guerillas.terrorists stood for. I mean there is such a thing as propaganda; it just doesn't appear that "insurgents" rings that bell for most of us. What you are saying discounts the power of propaganda completely, and I think that's a little extreme.
