Ronald Reagan was a very corrupt politician.

He had a very small income. His career in film paid very little and provided no royalty income.

Nancy Reagan's father was a used car salesman who lived in Flushing New York. He did not leave any large bequest to his daughter. Her mother remarried a surgeon who did leave Nancy a little money, but not ranch-sized money.

GE paid Reagan a living wage for being host on the GE Theater, and his duties included giving speeches around the country promoting causes General Electric wanted promoted. None of this work gave him access to the money needed to purchase a multi-million dollar ranch. Nor did his $50k salary as Governor of California.

The "Reagan Ranch" was a "gift" from a number of his major contributors.

My Grandfather's brother was the attorney for a man who was one of Reagan's largest contributors and one of the donors of the ranch "gift" to the Reagans.

Through-out his career, Ronald Reagan was willing to do anything for money.
