well I was posting on the apple thread about how useless those market share numbers are at this point. What we need is some sort of breakdown of cost per unit, ie whose share is largest for $300-$600 units, $600-1K, and over $1K.

It used to be the really cheapie stuff built in china we never counted. But now Dell has moved into that area.

Ah, but look at Dell's stock performance vs HPQ's.. HPQ was the best DOW performer last year while Dell bit the dust from the low 40's down to today's levels. I'd buy INTC when the chart starts to show it moving up with little or no news out there. As of today, that isn't the case <ggg>...
