Here is the key phrase as far as Mr. Delay's reason for leaving..and his likely future:

The second of two former DeLay aides pleaded guilty last week in the federal investigation surrounding convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff and have agreed to cooperate with prosecutors.

The Feds now have two little birds in the bag, which means they don't have one voice against one,(aide vs. Delay) but corroboration on some key points. Both staffers copped pleas and agreed to cooperate. Neither would have done so unless they were locked down guilty. And the Feds would not have offered the deal unless the aides had something they needed.....such as sworn statements of Delay knowledge and instruction. Can anyone read betweent he lines? I see the Delay Ambramoff indictment in, say, three weeks. Maybe as late as June.

McKinney hit the cop two or three times, according to McKinney. Anyone else would be in jail right now
