Notice the "and". Its "corporate subsidies and tax benefits" not "corporate subsidies including tax benefits".

But if you don't believe that a tax break for a multi-Billion dollar industry, over another, isn't a sudsidy then you are beyond redemption.

I think you are getting hung up over semantics and reading too much in to my statement.

I'll use an example from an entirely different issue. If I argue that the attacks on the Pentagon and the Cole by Al Qeada was not a terrorist attack because they were attacks on military targets, that doesn't mean that I think the attacks where justified, ok, positive, ect. Not using one negative term, doesn't mean you don't think the action in question is negative.

Similarly the targeted tax breaks might not be subsidies, but they are not usually "justified, ok, positive...". And not only are they negative, they are negative in almost the exact same way as subsidies are negative.
