The key word is assymetric. Iran can wreck more havoc than al quaeda if attacked. Not so much in US but they could do a number on oil and launch terrorism in the Mideast and probably europe. We may decide that it is worthwhile to attack even in the face of this. Current policy is to let time moderate them somewhat by slowing them down. We have allies on this one and hopefully allies when it gets to crunch time.
