Because it is not an attempt to reform the political systems in the ME. It is an attempt to gain control over one of several large oil fields. I see, assuming that your incredibly inane comment is correct, then I guess it's okay for the Islamo-Fascists to attempt to control those same oil fields, right?? We cannot control the oil fields if we promote democracy in those countries, and YOU KNOW THAT!!! We can only control them if their governments are illegitimate and rule through force and coercion (and we know the Islamo-Fascists are AWESOME at that).. A democratic society and political instution is going to be accountable to its own people before it is to the US or any foreign power. So stop being disingenuous. It's beneath you and intellectually dishonest. And frankly, it's a waste of my time. Macarthy waved a piece of paper too. One that would get him incarcerated if he said things he shouldn't?
