Someone should beat the step mom... hard and often... so much for communicating, my female adopted the Little lab when he was 6 weeks old. but at 5 years old he nips her, she beats him, he runs, she is faster. she has never actually hurt him, I don't think, but lots of days in the spring they limp home with sore muscles and legs after sleeping all winter. He stays away a couple of days and comes over and she beats him again. Somebody has to be top dog......
