".....they are not as put off by the differences etc." Nonsense. Have you ever heard Germans talk about Greeks or Brits? Or Brits talk about the French? Or just about anybody talk about the Russians? I went on a bus tour of Sweden last summer with a group of Germans. As tourists, many of them were as bad as the popular "ugly American" stereotype. They wanted to travel, but kept expecting a cultural clone of Germany. It was amusing. Sweden is beautiful. But, given how cold it was in June, I am pretty sure I wouldn't want to be there in winter... Having sunlight in the middle of the night was pretty weird.
