while RUT has been making all-time highs for long time now.

That's exactly the point, first time it hasn't lead. But everything is on its own cycle, was only a fodder for discussion, I think it means little for our trading purposes.

On another note, the SPX in 2006 has been as clean as it gets vis-a-vis classic TA and e-wave. Early Jan rally to 1295, 3 wave pullback, move back up to 1295, pullback, breakout above 1295, backtest 1295 and now up she goes. Great place to be long.

A bigger question might be "is the SPX more tech oriented than the RUT?" I don't even know that that's the case. It's certainly more big-cap oriented, so the conclusion I'd make is that the leadership is passing to big caps from small caps. Though again, it seems too soon to make that conclusions.

And of course, certain big caps like INTC don't seem to want that leadership mantle <G>

Nice on MRVL with the break of the downtrendline AND the Cramer push. Not related, no doubt!
