I also knew a guy (a neighbor) who worked for CAT in the 70s. He wasn't a bad sort but he had a deep seated irrational hatred for the company. It was unexplainable but you could actually feel how much he despised that company.

I asked why he didn't quit if he hated it so much. He gave the normal answer, of course.
