no different to me than someone making you look at their butt crack showing because they still act like two year olds wanting attention...

They can't stand it when you ignore them, the adults or the two year olds......

Is your objection based on an opinion that it is not necessary to call out their sexual orientation? If so, do you believe we should also eliminate Black History month, for the same reason (i.e. no need to promote these differences)? Or, do you believe that their sexual orientation should not be called out in the classroom for moral reasons?
