Yes, change can be scary and painful to many. IMHO those that experience change as such are the ones you speak of. Viewed this way observing them becomes "less personal" or 'issue oriented' and we can be less judgemental... for if ones experience encountering the above IS judgemental or emotional in the same or different (anger?) way, then we're simply the flip side, and actually a participant.
