One difference between Saddam and Fidel, Chavez, Assad, Mugabe (apart from his having a higher death toll) is that Saddam was a threat to the Persian Gulf region which has has 2/3 of the worlds oil reserves. Which makes the region critical to the world economy. It's why something will happen w/re to Iran too. Then there's also the issue of his providing haven to terrorists which have attacked America and Americans. Something we should not allow in a post-911 world - and which the other named tyrants aren't doing.
