I don't think there is any specific right size that should be imposed by government.

The main thing I would want is that any changes happen at a slow to moderate rate. I don't want a massive sudden increase or decrease.

Edit - But even if we were having one (and we aren't) I probably wouldn't support the government getting involved at least not in a heavily controlling way.
