i used plastic mulch before. up here where the ground warms slow the plastic "gets er done". and keeps the weeds out on new ground. saves lots of labor. lots.

two pounds of earthworm eggs and i got a earthworm casing factory. almost as good as guano. i used to get bat guano out of a cave and use it in my house plants.

they grew too fast and i used to have to repot to quickly. stuff is hot!

are you mounting the solar on a tracker? which one? i have looked at a few. even thought about making one on the electronics bench at work. at least the brains for one. i need one that does azimuth and elevation...... i have the schematic somewhere. my records are a mess. take a week to find em.

cannot grow decent melons up here. lucky to get a ripe tomato if you are a beginner. i am not. used to teach master gardeners to garden. and charged em.
