Weren't you the same person that took a specific statement from a poster and converted it into a general statement, and then you attacked the poster for the general statement you created?

Why don’t you just say, “didn’t you take a specific statement…” It sounds like you want to be able to distance yourself from this accusation. Take responsibility for your public posts AmyJ. Grow a pair. And no, it wasn’t me, but then your statement isn’t very specific, is it?

The purpose of your posts are questionable, because they lack a sincere desire to build to the discussion

That’s funny. You have made numerous unsubstantiated claims on these boards over the years and every time a member asks for documentation you defer to some other poster, or simply do not respond. Here are two examples: Message 19363938
Message 19622640

Recently, I asked you to document your assertion that home prices have only kept up with inflation, you responded by deferring to Elroy. None of these examples show that you have a “desire to build to the discussion,” especially if that discussion requires some rigor.

The purpose of your posts are questionable, because they lack a sincere desire to build to the discussion with your own examples of taxes, your own experiences, your own information.

I’ve made many posts relating my specific past experiences and situations, but I don’t discuss specific ongoing investments publicly, and that is a choice to which more members should adhere. I’d rather not know any specific information about a member, all I am interested in is their ideas, and for them to attempt to shoot my ideas down.

I notice you did not address the specific point of your seemingly racist public statement. I am quite sure that you would not label yourself prejudiced, since you take great pains on these boards to appear open minded. Had you done your homework and quantified your observation that Hispanic immigrants routinely cheat the system (while the rest of society rarely cheats), who could accurately claim your statement was a product of an underlying prejudice? Here that pesky lack of rigor comes to the fore again, but this time your lack of rigor is not about investments, republicans, or old style businesses (as yet undefined).

The fact is, Hispanic households, among all racial categories, are more likely to both have parents in the same house. Now, it may be that “non-hightech south bay catholic immigrants” represent a sub distribution where this characteristic doesn’t apply, or that a high percentage of those single hispanic housholds are actually "married," but I doubt you have the data to back up these possibilities. BTW, you might want to cut down on your daily consumption of Lou Dobbs.
