Bush secretly authorized the selective use of intelligence for partisan political purposes in an attempt to justify the Iraq invasion and bolster his own political standing. That is an abuse of power.

>>>The President (assuming the story is true)was perfectly justified in rebutting the lies that scumbag Wilson was peddling.....the issue was too important to simply let it lie....<<<

You don't know what, if any, of Wilson's report from Niger were lies. If you know this, please let us know how you know this.

But here's something you're forced to consider. I know it's hard for you, but you really gotta come to grips with this.

The NIE that Bush-Cheney-Libby leaked also included information from both the state and energy departments showing opposite conclusions to the portions that Bush-Cheney-Libby leaked. Now, in all fairness, wouldn't you call this "cherry-picking" intelligence in order to help justify war?

Feds Try to Seize Gold From Suspects' Teeth

Fri Apr 7, 3:07 PM ET

TACOMA, Wash. - Talk about taking a bite out of crime.

Government lawyers tried to confiscate the gold tooth caps known as "grills" from the mouths of two men facing drug charges, saying the dental work qualified as seizable assets. They had them in a vehicle headed to a dental clinic by the time defense attorneys persuaded a judge to halt the procedure.
