leave it to the drive-by media to spray a hail of bullets then drive off. Let's look at the facts:

1. Bush declassified the information Libby gave the the press, therefore there was no "classified" information.

2. Bush gave Libby permission to discuss the matter with the press, therefore there was no "leak" of information.

3. Valerie Plame's identity is not in the National Intelligence Estimate (the parts declassified), therefore this has nothing to do with the investigation into the press finding out about Plame's identity.

>>>It's obvious that the President KNEW the NIE stuff was all bullcrap and didn't want to disseminate it through official lines (for fear of later being called on it).<<<

What was leaked to reporters Woodward and Miller were cherry-picked portions of the NIE. They left out the opposite conclusions drawn by the departments of state and energy, all of which were in the NIE. It's not so much the Plame aspect that is most destructive for Bush and Cheney, rather it is the clearcut proof that they actually did cherry-pick intelligence in order to go to war in Iraq.

Again, Gold Star Mother's woe!!!
