You've got to be kidding me. Either of those figures is extremely high. Plus, we don't have a state income tax. OTOH, we don't have much in the way of state services, either...


I think my number was a little high for CA, but not for Fairfax according to their tax rate site.

As TX, you really don't understand how cheaply you all have it. Seriously. I am blown away by how inexpensive your housing is. The median price of a house in Dallas would not buy you a vacant lot here in the city. Your taxes.....everything....is less. Its no wonder industry is moving in droves to TX.
