Again, opinions are one thing, facts are another. If the facts are that Cheney put all his options in an irrevokeable Gift Trust, the FACT is he has no way to profit from them. Period. If the facts are that Kerry brought a video camera (1960s technology) with him to Vietnam to re-enacted his "heroic" deeds or that he gained a Purple Heart for a scratch on his arm, the OPINION could be that his service was not as advertised. So I'm not sure your analogy works in this case.
