Bush and Cheney have always been too busy redefining reasons, instead of providing the real reason, for the war.

First, WMD and Al Qaeda links (if Saddam doesn't disarm [what he ain't got] we're gonna invade!); second, the "terrorists" flooded Iraq in order to battle the Americans ("Bring 'em on!") and that a the bordering countries we don't like have been lettin' 'em in); and third, they're just having a tough time forming a government and, thus, are fighting each other (the insurgency is in the last stages of its froe!).

Diplomacy from Bush and Cheney? They hold no realization whatsoever that "the pen is mightier than the sword," and they don't understand how to put the "ballot before the bullet," since the only government ministry building the US protected in the aftermath of the war was the Iraqi Oil Ministry Building. For some funny reason, much to the chagrin of democracy, the US failed to protect the buildings housing citizen records proving Iraqi citizenship. So the Bush-Cheney version of voting happened the way it did and we continue to experience the woe of Gold Star Mothers, Everywhere USA!
