No, what I mean is that they've lost their way. They are no longer the GOP, which stood for certain planks (fiscal thriftiness, small government, almost a libertarianism attitude). They've been hijacked by neocons.

I think the only hope for the GOP to recover is for the moderates to stand up. Some are starting to; let's see if enough do to turn things around by the next election. If not, that will definitely be a wakeup call.
