Liddy was the only stand up guy through that whole mess. They all ratted each other out - except Liddy. Remember his non-testimony before the committee? He refused to answer any questions, claiming he was a prisoner of war.

And he did his time without complaint, making the most of it. He agitated for better conditions for the prison, and when the warden balked, Liddy somehow managed to tap his phone and taped something he could use in negotiations. I don't recall what was said in the conversation, but the warden quickly capitulated. He also helped a lot of the prisoners with legal work.

Maybe he was nuts, but how can you not love that?
