Giving aid to one nations that vows to destroy another and wont follow the roadmap to peace that the quartet requires is not unusual whether that govt was elected or not. I have mixed feeling about it being done so quickly but after last weeks hamas slip about possible recognition and then there totally unambiguous retraction the next day, once again pledging to drive israel into the sea, todays action seem perfectly logical. Pressure is being exerted to extract desired behaviour. Nothing wrong with that. We should both hope it works and hamas accepts osli, the roadmap and a peaceful settlement. We shall see.

Hamas is a terrorist organization. We wouldn't support Osama if they elected him.
