OK, so you've found a 1984 voter registration card. But that's no proof for reality of party registration in 2006.

Objectively, I'm willing to become convinced that Doyle is a Democrat, but not on the basis of a 1984 document.

Let's get updated a bit. Fact is, Doyle is a Bush appointee. Not only that, here's an example of something more recent: A 2003 Republican campaign contribution:
