Odds are he will be if we take back the congress later this year. That is if the Dems feel that is the best thing to do in planning strategy for the 2008 elections. There are pros and cons to it though.

Short sighted Republicans can't see that the imperial presidency works for both parties. Republicans do understand that Dems are more honest so they're playing the odds but it's a very, very, very, very bad precedent. The world is so complex and the population so huge that individuals having this much power is out of date. No individual should ever have this much power over anyone. It's only because people have power that they abuse it. No power, no abuse.
