One problem at a time.. We've long recognized Mahdi Army infiltration in the Iraqi government. And while there has been an awareness of this problem, it was primarily the jurisdiction of the British who are responsible for the Shi'a portion of Iraq. But with the recognition that the British presence will be decreasing, the US will obviously now have to focus upon dealing with the Mahdi Army in coming months. This article is nothing more than a public "warning order" that the US is preparing to push the Iraqi government to enforce it's own laws. It will have the consequent result of decreasing Sunni justification for perpetuating their militias as all moderates on both sides recognize that the militias only agenda is to install their own form of Islamo-Fascism, whether Sunni or Shia. And like I've also stated, I'm very much in favor of exporting a counter-insurgency into Iran, supporting those factions who want to overthrow Ahmadinejad and the IRGC's grip on political power in that country. And there are numerous young people who could be motivated to undertake such actions, given the proper support. Indeed, it doesn't even have to be violent.. It could include the use of non-violent, but extremely large, demonstrations by the young people of Iran in protesting the deaths and oppression they are responsible for. In sum.. all you've done is display a recognition and justification for confronting Ahmadinejad's efforts to advance his own Islamo-Fascist cause.. Something he would have continued to do regardless of the presence of Saddam's regime, or the current government. Hawk
