Thanks. If correct, it could help dispel the uncomfortable observed trend in USA East Coast hurricanes.. There is (as you already may know) an observed oscillating climate trend in the North Atlantic. The NAO. ldeo.columbia.edu metoffice.gov.uk The NAO last hit a minimum in about 1960. In the UK the NAO is manfested as a mild winter in Scotland and an unusually bitter cold winter in England. The forcast for this year was essentially accurate. news.bbc.co.uk
