Apparently both Cheney and Rumsfeld disagree that Iraq is a mess. I don't think Dubya knows one way or the other but is willing to disagree that Iraq is a mess. When those with the power to change things don't acknowledge the problem, how in the world will the problem ever get fixed? First it was Saddam and his Republican Guards => dead enders => jihadists => Syria => insurgents => world domination jihadists => Iran => civil war mongers => militia => more civil war mongers. The list of problematic groups just keeps morphing. Somewhere in there are criminals and drug dealers although what constitutes a criminal in a state of chaos is an open question.
