Bush lied about how and why he was going to war. There isn no excuse for that, especially since he had no intel that Saddam was an imminent threat to us, he was maming almost all the threat reports up while withholding the massive amount of contrary evidence.

Bush also lied to congress, promising to go the Un route and let the inspections play out and only invade as a last resort. He stated he wanted to avoid war. He lied. He also lied saying there is no difference between Osama and Saddam, and Cheney and many others lied that Saddam and Al Qaida were in bed together.

The lies just kept going and going. They included Cheney and others saying Saddam was within months of a nuke. The Niger yellowcake. Rice saying European capitols could be blown up by Saddam's WMD missiles. Wolfowitz, Hannity and many others say Iraqi oil would pay for the entire war. Cheney saying the war would only last a short time. Rumsfield saying they knew where the WMD were. Powell and others saying aluminum tubes and mobile labs were evidence of WMD. etc.
