Russ, if the rise in interest rates is FCB selling, why has the dollar held up so well?

It would appear that any funds generated by bond selling is remaining in US dollars.

"World markets continue to have the tenor of a late stage inflationary boom or Weimar run, as gold, small caps, and oil surged to all time highs. Credit and capital continues to be mobilized for this purpose."

Late stage? Given where long term treasuries are and given where gold prices also are relative to 25 years ago sure seems to me like we are still have a ways to go. Still in the early innings unless the powers at be want to take us into depression instead..

chemical dumps in important waterways

I just watched a special on the science channel how we haven't been able to eat fish out of hudson bay since 1975 because of all the PCB's in them.

The fix for both places is this - the folks who do the dumping - make it where they can only eat the fish from the places they pollute - make the senators only be able to eat from there too - wonder how fast things would get cleaned up then?

As long as they have a disconnect from where they can pollute and where they can eat - there will never be enough personal incentive for them to use thier power for change.
