But in the old days (according to TV) there were town folks who supplied what town folks needed, right? So there'll be some entrepreneur who will sell me food and who cares how I'll dress since life will be hard anyway.
Only if you have something he wants; especially if he barely has enough for his family. I'm planning on spending some of what little PM I have on coffee. Figure there will be a 3 masted schooner 20 miles west of me coming in from Kona, and I don't know what other medium of exchange might work, other than the metals. Having a tradable skill would be better, methinks. Maybe my niche is growing fruit. Wouldn't you trade yer taters to get some of my raspberries? That'll do.

(And, BTW, from a book I was once thinking I should write, raspberries don't care if you fart)

I'll have to show this to Rosie; she's from BC. Mindblowing scenery all the way east to the Canadian Rockies.

pull the nail out of ur shoe.

it'll help to get you going in a straight line.

i live on the edge of everything. if you have old friends that live on the edge of everything and they are good ol' buds ask em if they know of anyplace cheap to land.

or just enjoy what we have and keep using it up. thats what most folks are doing.

seems to me either way what will be, will be. i think the dice are already in play and our course is charted. no matter what i do or do not do. so i am going to enjoy the ride.
