Bush Sr. called Wilson a great Amrican hero, so why did Bush's son and Cheney obsess with destroying Wilson even though he was merely speaking the truth about something he personally knew about? Answer: Because Bush-Cheney knew damn well they'd totally lied to get us into that war so quickly, and Wilson threatened a snowball of exposures which could get them impeached. Talk about a self-fulfilling prophesy though. If they had left Wilson alone this whole thing would have been much less harmful to them and the US would still have a top Iran WMD CIA covert agent in the field.
