re: If that kind of reasoning is being used, certainly the option of a wartime president doesn't have to submit to an election is on the table too. And if Congress gets contrary, then dissolve them, they are only giving aid and comfort to the terrorists. If they can't do their job and rubber stamp things, they can be replaced with an actual rubber stamp. Or even better, appoint new ones from the pool that has already thrown up such luminaries as George Deutsch.

Congress controls the purse...
