Is this common? - why would shareholders approve - or do they even have a say? That'd suck. Seems like this should only be used if a company needed cash now, but it seems a CEF should rarely if ever get to that point. Or are there some fund managers out there just out to screw shareholders? <g>

At your insistence the wide discount on GAM has tightened in the past couple of months.
