Am I supposed to vote for a party because of what it was? That's past tense, by the way.

let's see: steel tariffs, out of control spending, a prescription drug benefit that would've made LBJ proud, failure to make permanent the tax cuts, the wrong action on illegal immigration, or worse, no action at all, a badly run war at best, and yes, I supported it, the institutionalization of big money, fat cat contributors, being first at the table, supporting Arlen Spector against a true conservative, sending money to Lincoln Chaffee's reelection campaign, and on and on...

and, yes, the demos would be much worse, but the Repub. problem is that not enough of them believe or act on their own stated beliefs.

it's really becoming a choice between the lesser of two evils and the Repub. aren't going to turn out their voters on that basis.
