Many "media moguls" just look at their media holdings as investments and don't really get involved in the news at all except maybe to discourage reporting that makes them or their businesses look bad. Slanting beyond that isn't likely to have much effect on the bottom line of the other businesses and risks being to obvious and perhaps hurting the bottom line of the news business. Other moguls do get involved and do have a political slant, but that slant isn't uniformly conservative.
